AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL
Bye Bye Bitch!!! pt 5

I am shocked. I think I must have woken up in some sort of alternate universe! This evening AJ (one of my favorites for winning this cycle) was voted off of ANTM. What the fresh Hell is that all about? To add insult to injury, she was actually up against Jaeda! Jaeda people!!! I think I just threw up a little.

(As usual: click on pics for larger image)

The episode started off well enough. We see the girls are still quite over Melrose. In the funniest moment of this cycle (so far) one of the other girls actually called her "Smellrose" when she was kissing up to a guest. I actually laughed out loud on that one! I think that is how I will refer to her from now on.

This is the episode when one of the girls "comes out of the closet". This is an ANTM tradition now. This cycle was a little different. It was one of the twins. I think the reason I an latching on to the twins is because they have an honest relationship. You can tell they honestly care about each other's well being. Michelle made an (what seemed to me) off handed comment about how she wasn't sure that she was straight. I think the whole situation was blown out of proportion. Anyway, Amanda sort of didn't react to the announcement. Later Michelle asked, "I did tell you that before, right?" Later in the episode the twins called their mother to warn her about what was said. The call went something like this:

Michelle: Hi mom! I have something to tell you that is sort of hard...
Mom: What is it?
Michelle: I sort of told everyone here that I might be gay.
Mom: Ok
(pause)
(Michelle breaks down crying and hands the phone to Amanda)
Amanda: Mom, what did you say to her???
Mom: Nothing!!!
Amanda (to Michelle): What's wrong?
Michelle (to Amanda): Nothing, (louder) I love you mommy!
Mom: We love her no matter what...
Michelle: Happy Mother's Day!

It was sweet and the twins obviously come from a very cool family. Later Michelle expresses concern that Amanda seems to be freezing up around people. "She isn't just being herself." Amanda expresses concern for Michelle: "I don't care what her sexual preference is! She's my sister and I love her." She tears up and explains that she wants her sister to be happy and she's worried that this declaration might have a negative effect on her life when the show is over.

These reactions are the most telling moments of the twins relationship. Michelle is the dreamer who lives her life on the edge (hoping for the best). Amanda is the worrier. She is the adult in the relationship. She is far more concerned with the long term outcome of things. In the context of the show, I think Michelle is the one who will come out on top because she lives in the moment and is comfortable with herself. Amanda (who wants this desperately) will accidentally shoot herself in the foot because she is so caring. I think she would gladly step aside as long as Michelle is happy in the end. Amanda is a truly kind person, but kindness isn't part of the modeling world and it could be her downfall.

Back to the show! Entertainment Tonight's host Mark Steines makes a guest appearance as "Host Coach". He tries to teach the girls how to do an excellent interview. Most of the girls choked in this class. Worst host award goes to Jaeda and Anchal. They really bit the big one. Best host award goes to Smellrose. You gotta give the girl credit. While the other girls are busy hating on her she is kissing ass all the way to final four.

Later the girls had to actually interview a celebrity: Janice Dickinson (who coined the term Supermodel)! It was nice to see her again. Oh how I miss her bitchy statements during the judging panels! She was very hard on the girls and most choked under pressure again. Of course Smellrose didn't let anything phase her. She ended up winning this competition. She got to actually be a guest commentator on Entertainment Tonight. She interviewed a lot of CW celebrities (including Tyra). I have to admit, she rocked it.

This week the girls had to pose for pictures with themselves. They each had to play both parts of famous celebrity couples. We got to see them do Brad and Angelina, Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston, Demi and Ashton and Oprah and Stedman (there were other too!).

The makeup for this challenge sucked! Anchal got the worst makeup for her "Stedman" shot! It was bad wig Hell and that is a shame.

In the end AJ got the boot. I want to go on record saying she did this to herself. Her photo sucked and her attitude sucked even worse! It was like once her friend Megg left she had no reason to go on. That is sad because she was my favorite to win. I would like to give Amanda a shout out for being called before Michelle this time.

Now for the fun stuff!

America's Cover Girl of the Week:

AJ

She may have lost her way this week but America still loves AJ!

Best Shot:

(tie)

Melrose and Michelle

I just couldn't decide which one I liked better. Both girls really "got it" this time. They seemed to be the only ones who had fun and really communicated their characters. Smellrose really got Donald Trump down! I could actually mistake Michelle for Ellen Degeneres in her shot (from a distance). I would also like to mention Carridee's Angelina Jolie. She looked great!

Most Improved:

Brooke

Brooke impressed me this week. She had no problem with the snake and her Kevin Federline is priceless. Bravo girl!

Annoying Bitch of the Week:

AJ

I can't believe I'm doing this but I really feel like it is true. AJ lost all interest in this competition and it showed. I was very offended at her eye rolling while in Panel. Whatever AJ. You have disappointed me.

See ya next week!

Remember when...
pt 2

Whitney Houston was everyone's sweetheart and not yet the crack ho she has become?
Whitney Houston showed at the eleventh hour to sing the national anthem at super bowl 25! It was shortly after desert storm was started. No one wanted to sing at the super bowl because of threatened terrorist attacks. She was pretty amazing. They recorded the song and it was the number one single of the year.

SURVIVOR: COOK ISLANDS
Bye Bye Bitch!!! pt 5

Dammit! Stephanie was voted off the islands in a vote of 7 to 1. That is the second person of my original favorite four to be eliminated. I guess that means that Ozzie is no longer an alternate! The list of my four is now: Jenny, Ozzie, Parvarti and Christina. Of course this means that Christina will go next week! Argh! Let's just start the recap...grrrr argh!

We find Raro is a completely different tribe now. The girls are laying about and the boys are indignant about having to do all the work. This tribe is a mess. Queen Brad is playing both sides (don't think I don't notice that QB!). They need to watch him! He is a snake in the grass if I have ever seen one. As my ultra cool stylist, Rachel, says: "Anyone who smiles that much is not to be trusted." Amen, girl!

They are starting to hate Christina now. What up with them picking off my picks for final four??? Give a dog a bone people! She is starting to act just like JP though. I think the biggest problem with this tribe is that they aren't up front with each other. If this were me and my friends/family we would be calling each other out constantly. If there is one thing I can't stand it is a sneaky bitch. Much less a tribe full of them.

The reward challenge was an endurance challenge. The tribes had to pick teams of two to hold sand bags that the other tribe placed on the ropes they were holding. They had to do this one handed. Most of the people folded after 10 or 15 pounds. I had to give it to Adam and Nate of Raro. Hey had 30 pounds each and were struggling but they didn't let go. They were totally hot to (all hugged up with each other). I think they have a strong alliance that people should watch out for. Raro won and got a lot of spices and more hunting equipment. They also sent Jonathan back to Exile Island.

Back at Aitu we see that Cao Boi, Ozzy and Jessica are being alienated from the tribe. They wanted to go search for food on another island and no one would go with them. They went by themselves and it ended up being Raro's island. They were not well recieved and Cao Boi totally annoyed everyone when he wouldn't leave. He actually asked for some of their spices! Way to alienate yourself from two tribes dude!

Back on the Aitu island Yul asked Sundra to join his alliance with Candice, Becky and Jonathan. She did. I think it is interesting that they didn't ask Jonathan about this. He was pretty close with Jessica in the original Raro tribe and I suspect he would have suggested her. Jonathan searched that island like a crazy person for the immunity idol. He didn't find it. He now knows that someone has found it. It wouldn't take a brain surgeon to figure out that is Yul who found it. Only he, Jonathan, Candice and Adam have been there and I guarantee they couldn't have found it.

If Aitu was smart they would loose Yul. I would do it like this: I would loose a challenge and split the vote with Cao Boi and Yul (Yul having the most votes). Yul would be forced to use the idol and Cao Boi (the real target) is sent home. This leaves Yul open for being kicked off the next week!

The immunity challenge was what? TOO COMPLICATED! They had to put together these weird walking posts, then they had to get two members to use them to get from one big pier thing to another.

All tribe members then jumped off the second pier and had to climb this weird platform. It was about a foot in width at the top...all members had to get on top of it with their feet on top or above the platform.

Raro was in the lead until the last platform. The entire tribe fell off the platform letting Aitu take immunity once again.

This is when Raro got all backstabby and bitchy. They had agreed earlier to get rid of Christina next. Stephanie made an off handed comment to Nate about being able to see herself eating Mashed potatoes and gravy that night. He went back and told everyone she wanted to leave and they all voted her out in the end. I was surprised. Nate also called out Christina in front of Jeff Probst at tribal council. I think Nate just doesn't care what anyone thinks anymore. He was left out of the "vote for JP" plan next week and now he's not taking any prisoners.

We found out that Aitu and Raro both have to get rid of a member next week. I predict Raro will loose Chistina or Nate and Aitu will loose Cao Boi or Ozzy.

more next week!

LOST

"The Glass Ballerina"

I love this episode of Lost, I really do. We finally find another piece of the Sun/Jin puzzle and we see that things are really not what they seem. I think I will handle this recap the same way I did the last one. I will talk about the Jin/Sun/Sayid story line first then I will discuss the Sawyer/Kate story. I will wrap it up with Jack's story. As usual, there are SPOILERS BELOW!!! If you want to enlarge the screen shots just click them! Now on to the show!

We start off with, you guessed it, a glass ballerina. It shatters on the floor and we realize that a very young Sun has broken it. When confronted by her father Sun looks at him and tells a bold faced lie. She says the maid did it.

Sun never does tell the truth about that ballerina and it results in the firing of the maid. This is the first indication that maybe Sun isn't as honest and good as we all thought she was.

We find Jin/Sun/Sayid are still on the sailboat from last season. They have lit the signal fire for Jack's group but no one has showed up. Sayid is concerned. All Jin wants is to get his wife and unborn child back to the camp. When Sayid suggests they go a bit further to light another fire Jin looses his cool.

Sun (who is acting as a translator) tells Jin to chill and tells Sayid that they will go and make a new fire. Turns out she can drive a sail boat too.

We flashback to Sun in bed and BAM--that's not Jin. Know we know that Sun has lied about never sleeping with another man. Her father catches her with her english tutor who has asked Sun to run away with him to America. He gave her a pearl necklace that will show up later. Her father goes to Jin and tells him that the tutor has stolen from him and wants Jin to kill him.

When Jin refuses the father gives him a guilt trip and in the end Jin agrees to do it. When he tells Sun he has to send someone a message she knows exactly what is going on. She begs him to run away with her and he just gets frustrated and runs out. He finds the tutor and beats the crap out of him. He goes to shoot him and then stops. He tells the man to leave the country and to never ever come back.

Jin leaves and when he goes to start his car a body lands on the hood. It is the tutor and he is holding the pearl necklace. Sun show up at the funeral and her father finds her there. She wants to know if he will tell on her and he says, "that's not my place."

The trio finds the pier that Jack/Kate/Sawyer were captured on. Sayid wants to trap the others because he thinks they may have captured his friends. He tells Sun to lie to Jin about why they are there. He figures once the fire is lit Jin will have no choice but to help him. Sun lies again and Jin pretty much calls her out. Turns out that he understands english a bit more than she thought.

At night they send Sun to the boat while Jin and Sayid wait to ambush the others. The problem is the others want the boat and that is where they show up...not on shore. Sun is confronted with Other: Colleen. She tells Colleen that she will shoot her if she doesn't let her leave the boat. Colleen argues that Sun is no killer. Sun shoots her and all Hell breaks loose. Everyone starts shooting and Sun barely escapes before The Others steal the boat. Sayid tells the couple that he is sorry and that from now on he will listen to Jin.

Back at Othersville we see that they plan on making Kate and Sawyer break rocks and haul them away. This job seems to have no purpose other than keeping prisoners occupied. If they do anything that Other: Pickett (Colleen's boyfriend) doesn't like he will shock them.

They play along for a good while. While Kate is breaking rocks Alex (Roussou's long lost daughter) whispers to her from a bush. She wants to know if they have seen Carl (the guy that tried to escape with Sawyer). Kate says no and Alex disappears. When Juliet offers Sawyer some water he takes her canteen and empties it on the ground.

He decides he wants to kiss Kate and once again all hell breaks loose! Later we find out that he was trying to find out if they could really fight or if this was all an act. He is pretty sure that they have never really seen "action" and that he and Kate can take them if they get an opportunity. He says that Juliet is the one to watch out for. She would have no problem shooting either one of them.

Jack is depressed. He is still locked up in The Hydra. Ben (not Henry Gayle) comes into his holding tank and introduces himself formally. His name is Ben Linus and he has lived on the island "all his life". Jack doesn't believe him. Ben tells him about things that have happened in America since he has been missing.

The funniest one was that the Red Sox won the world series. Jack laughs out loud until they show him a video of the Sox winning. Ben wants Jack to "do something for them". He says that when Jack does this "something" that he will be taken home.

Well I thought the episode was rockin'! I do have a few questions for you to think about though:

1. Did Sun's lover commit suicide or was he pushed? He landed face up on the hood of the car. If he had jumped wouldn't he be more likely to land face down? Why would he jump? Where was Sun when this happened? If she knew Jin was going to kill him wouldn't she try to warn him? HMMMM...

2. How did The Others get on the boat without getting wet?

3. Don't you think it's odd that every woman who has been surprise shot on this show is blonde and they have all been shot in the same place in the stomach? The only one who hasn't may be Anna Lucia...but I know Libby, Shannon and now Colleen were.

4. Henry Gayle has a live video/audio feed of a lot of places on the island...has he been watching them the whole time?

5. How does Alex know Carl? Is he her boyfriend?

6. Since when has Kate been all meek and mild mannered? Is she planning something? Did something happen between her breakfast with Ben and her meeting up with Sawyer in the cages?

That's all for now! See you next week!
Princess Nikki
"Peter Pan of Petulance"

This is it! This is the final (and I think the best) episode of Princess Nikki.

Nikki is forced to train with an all ladies rugby team and then she has her hardest task to date! She has to work as an "extreme cleaner". I doubt Nikki will ever forget that experience! I don't know about anyone else, but I will miss my little Princess. Maybe they will pick the show up again next year...

Enjoy!

America's Next Top Model
Bye Bye Bitch!!! pt4

Megg was voted off of America's Next Top Model tonight. I really didn't think she belonged there but I have to admit that I really liked her on this episode. I was sad to see her go--even though she sort of sucked.

We started out learning that Monique is like The Hydra of Greek myth. You cut her head off and another one grows right back...this time with the face of Melrose! Melrose has lost her damned mind. She talks and talks and it never seems to end! She's a total bitch too. This episode she seemed to focus on Anchal.

We learn that Anchal is "the fat girl" of the house. In Melrose's opinion, Anchal is pretty much a waste of space. She talked a bunch of smack in the hot tub and Anchal pretty much heard the whole thing. Then we see that the house is sort of divided into two courts. There are the Evil Bitches: Melrose, Jaeda, Eugena, and sometimes the twins. Then there are Crazy Bitches: AJ, Megg, Caridee, Brooke, Anchal and sometimes the twins.

I think that the girls seem to be jealous of Anchal because she is pretty. Anchal was fugly as a kid and seems to be stuck in that mind set. I have to admit that I get annoyed when she whines about being ugly too. I think the girls think she is just whining for attention.

The girls learned how to pose for couture on tonight's show. They first had a class with a popular contortionist. Anchal was the most flexible of the girls. Melrose made sure to let her know that flexibility has nothing to do being in shape!

The challenge this week was that the girls had to be living art. Bao Tranchi (a "noted" fashion designer) dressed the girls and had each of them freeze pose on pedestals. Eugena won the challenge (she really was fierce). She ended up winning all the jewelry that the girls were wearing. $32,000.00 worth of jewelry is not bad for a nights work!

Tyra decided that she wanted a circus side show theme for this weeks photo shoot. Each girl was assigned a freak to bring to life. We had Giant Lady, Bearded Lady, Siamese Twins and some really odd ones like: Lady with Old Face but has a Hot Body. That reminded me of something I would hear on South Park.

This weeks judging was heartbreaking. Megg (who I have ripped on all season) was genuinely upset that she didn't do better. Her shot was really awful. Jaeda was the other person "on the block" this week. I was sad to see Megg go. She was very gracious about the whole situation. She wasn't a model...but she was a good person. I wish there was an award for that!

America's Cover Girl of the Week

AJ

Anchal was knocked off the her pedestal tonight. Now America loves AJ. I really love her too. She truly rocked this photo shoot! I almost chose her photo as my favorite of the week. The only thing that stopped me was that I can't see her that well behind the bars!

Photo of the Week

The Twins

I know the judges liked Caridee's photo the best but I thought this was was just spooky and awesome. I feel like I really would see this shot in a fashion magazine.

Most Improved

Caridee

I have never been on the Caridee band wagon but this week she rocked! I enjoyed her as a person and a professional. If she keeps this up I am sure we will see her in the final four.

Annoying Bitch of the Week

Melrose

Well Elizabeth was right! Melrose might be the real "big bad" of this cycle of ANTM. I am so through with this ho! I am even more upset that she is actually getting better with each shoot! I don't want to have to deal with this crazy skank for the next 8 episodes.
